The Neftaly–DBSA partnership continues to deliver significant impact across Southern Africa through sustainable development interventions aimed at youth empowerment, inclusive enterprise growth, and resilient infrastructure. The month of May 2032 was marked by strategic program expansions, community engagement milestones, and innovative collaborations.
2. Programmatic Achievements – May 2032
a) Youth Empowerment & Skills Development
- 5,200 youth trained in May through Neftaly programs, focusing on:
- Renewable energy installation
- E-commerce and digital entrepreneurship
- Agriculture and climate-resilient farming
- Partnership with the DBSA helped launch the Youth Futures Academy in Mpumalanga, equipped with AI-enabled training modules.
- Digital Skills for All Campaign expanded to Zambia and Namibia, with over 1,000 youth engaged remotely.
b) Infrastructure & Access to Services
- Commissioned 3 new Multi-Purpose Development Hubs in Limpopo, Lesotho, and northern KwaZulu-Natal.
- 25 community centers were upgraded with solar panels, Wi-Fi access, and rainwater harvesting systems.
- Neftaly and DBSA co-launched the Smart Clinics Pilot Project, offering mobile healthcare and health education services to underserved communities.

- New ESG-aligned indicators embedded into all monitoring tools, enhancing alignment with DBSA development finance criteria.
4. Key Collaborations and Innovations
- Joint planning began for the 2033 Neftaly-DBSA Annual Impact Summit, to be held in Johannesburg in early 2033.
- AI-driven learning analytics integrated into Neftaly’s training programs to track individual progress and customize support.
- Engaged local municipalities and traditional councils in co-designing localized development plans tied to Neftaly-DBSA deliverables.
